Located just a stone's throw from the centre of Hadleigh, Suffolk, West Lodge is a 2,400 square foot property which once constituted part of the large Victorian additions to East House in the 1860s. McCabe & Abel's restoration efforts enhanced the period character of the property, whilst creating a private and spacious townhouse. West Lodge is complete with electronic wooden gates, gravel drive and security system.
Set over three floors, West Lodge is a four-bedroom property, complete with large open-plan kitchen and drawing room, a spacious garden with mature sequoia tree, bespoke entrance porch, substantial orangery and outbuildings. The property was designated as a Grade II* Listed building in 1950, and is listed as a building of note in Bentley & Pevsner's The Buildings of England.

McCabe & Abel created a unique town house, restoring the disused building and adding on a large orangery.
The Restoration
When McCabe & Abel purchased East House, the rear wing was split into a separate private residence with its own entrance, West Lodge. A significant element of the project was converting one property into two, and restoring West Lodge to its former glory, having fallen into disrepair after 10 years standing idle.
